ReplyDeleteNicely written and beautiful love story between Tin Win and Mimi.
Stories in Burma give us a good idea of the lives and times of Burma in the 50s. In particular I liked the character of the old monk U Ma and the generosity of Su Kyi.
Unbelievable though that Tin Win did not try to go back to find Mimi until 50 years later when he already committed to another woman and family. What sort of love is that ?
Ending is too soppy and U Da could not possibly have known all the emotions that Tin Win went through in the telling of the story to Julia.
I rate it 6/10.
Is this a fairy tale ? Is it believable that Tin Win can leave Mini all these years ?
