Gone Girl to me was a bit of a disappointment. The novel started well and I was intrigued by the disappearance of his wife. However, as the story unfolded, I began to find the plot at times predictable, at times unbelievable, especially the ending. I can imagine that it would make a good Hollywood movie which is exactly what is in the pipeline!
I loved Gone Girl, and like Lee was puzzled/bemused by the ending, it really kept my attention and have pondered over it since, so will be good to hear everyone’s thoughts. Sarah
